Hot tubs continue to take the world by storm
Kirami has actively increased its export efforts in recent years. Due to our long-standing operations in Finland, Kirami products are already available throughout Finland thanks to our extensive reseller network. The Finnish market is finite, however, which is why we are constantly looking for new markets to expand to. At the same time, we want to offer unique bathing experiences outside Finland, as well.
In terms of export, Europe as a whole is an interesting area for Kirami. Our tubs are in demand in the Netherlands, Sweden and Austria, in particular, and increasingly in Germany, the UK and other Nordic countries, as well. There is an emerging market for our products in Russia and even Japan.
Exporting hot tubs and a unique way to relax
Hot tubs are already an integral part of relaxation and the culture of well-being in Finland, much like the sauna. People are interested in our brand of hot tub in other countries, too, because it is something quite new. All over the world, customers
have the desire to relax in a bath surrounded by nature. For some, just seeing an image of the tub was enough to make them want to try the tub, whereas some have had the chance to try bathing in a tub outdoors, which has led to them buying a tub of their own.
Outside Finland, the decision to choose Kirami is influenced by the consistently high quality of our products and the fact that our products come from far up north, where the weather conditions are famously challenging.
Resellers are the cornerstone of export
In Finland, hot tubs are mostly sold in the spring and summer. Our export operations even out the seasonal fluctuation in our domestic sales, because the season is much longer in Europe, thanks to the warmer weather. Export has, indeed, become an increasing part of our turnover, and our goal is to continue to increase the proportion export business accounts for of our operations.
A well-functioning reseller network plays a crucial role in increasing export. Even though finding suitable resellers is at times challenging, and sometimes even up to pure luck, we have succeeded in securing some excellent partners.
We are always looking for new resellers. Sometimes we contact interesting prospective resellers ourselves or look for partners at trade fairs. We also utilise the media and our own website.
