“I work as a part of marketing. Among other things, I do 3D modelling, videos, images and post-processing. I also put hot tub instruction manuals together. In addition, I’m involved in design and I update Kirami’s website. I sometimes do short translations into English and help with Kirami’s technical support, if necessary,” Krapi says.

“During a typical working day, I edit images and video. The best part of my job is that I can use my creativity. It also challenges me to think about how you can or should do things.”

Hard work and an enthusiastic approach helped with career advancement

Krapi has advanced in his career at the company by working hard and doing a good job.

“I originally started working in production, where I built hot tubs. It means that my job description and duties have changed a lot along the way. But it also keeps the job meaningful, because I get to do new things that give me a nice challenge. In addition to the job description, my home municipality also changed when I moved from Vammala to Turku. I’m now working at Kirami’s new office. This was a welcome change, because I’ve always wanted to live in a bigger city.”

Krapi has taught himself some of the skills needed for the job.

“They gave me an orientation to my new duties, of course, but modelling is something I’ve taught myself and practiced at home.”

Working for the company for a long time has been a benefit in the new job.

“Working in production has been a really great help in my current job, especially when I’m answering questions people send to technical support. It means that you’ve got a good understanding of the product, and you can guess where the problem might be. The texturing or surface design of the models is also easy when you know exactly what the products look like.”

A close work community

Krapi thinks that working at Kirami is highly motivating.

“The work community at Kirami is great and very close. You always help a colleague if they need it. You can influence your own progress with the company by your own efforts, which is also great.”

Along with work, Krapi likes to play video games.

“Video games have always been important to me. Before the coronavirus pandemic, I also travelled a lot. I hope that I can start doing that again in the future.”
