Wellness masters offer hot tube experiences in Northern Italy

 

In Northern Italy, in the beautiful land of good food, wine and truffles, is a small but determined company specialized in wellbeing: Tinozze Finlandesi. The company operates in Saluzzo, between the Monviso Alps and the hilly area of Langhe, and has plenty of experience in wellness and spas. The owners, Dario and Donatella Nicosia are both wellness masters and Aufgussmeister – sauna masters.

 

 

“Our passion for wellness is ancient history. We have managed spas for a long time and started the trade of wellness products, especially online. Thanks to our experience, we can give customers very precise technical advice in the design of their own wellness areas.” Dario explains.

The Nicosias wanted to expand their operations and develop an open-air wellness project. That is why, by chance, they landed in Sastamala at the Kirami headquarters. Now they have added Kirami hot tubs and a barrel sauna to their product selection.

“The quality of Kirami hot tubs convinced us ­– we knew we could sell them in Italy. Italians are very attentive to design and only buy beautiful things.”

 

Silence is the key – bubbles are better in bottles

Hot tubs are not very well known in Italy. Jacuzzis and noisy whirlpools, which the Italians themselves have invented, are the standard solutions for home spas. As experienced marketers, the Nicosias realized that they could base their marketing strategy on the one thing that seemed like the weakness of hot tubs: the lack of bubbles.

 

 

“So, we highlighted the beauty of silence, accompanied by live fire, and the contact with nature in the open air – and the market responded well. Customers realized that bubbles are better in a glass of sparkling wine!” says Dario.

As part of an effort to strengthen the Kirami brand in Italy and to increase awareness of hot tubs, the Nicosias have dubbed the Kirami hot tubs as tinozze finlandesi, Finnish wash tubs. They also took that as the name for their company.

“There was no Italian word to define these products and only a few know the meaning of the English words ‘hot tub’. We chose a name that would remind people of how they as children took a bath in the countryside: they used a washing basin. We also wanted to set the Kirami tubs apart from lower-quality Eastern European products.”

It seems that the name has really caught on.

“Result? A competitor importing from Lithuania now uses the name ‘Tinozze Finlandesi’, saying that everyone calls them by this name…” Dario laughs.

 

 

Customers benefit from the reseller’s experience

The biggest customer groups for hot tubs are private families and accommodation facilities such as B & B’s and holiday farms. Hot tubs may be considered as status symbols for private individuals, or as good cuddling spots for couples, but for accommodation providers they are a welcome additional service.

“Hot tubs are becoming what pools were in the 1970s: a bonus that attracts customers. But hot tubs are better than pools and an effective selling point in marketing today. They cost much less than a spa and don’t take up any indoor space.”

When a customer buys a hot tub from Tinozze Finlandesi, they always receive advice that stems from the owners’ long experience, especially in important details like correct installation.

“I remember when we were celebrating New Year’s Eve and uncorked a bottle immersed in a hot tub. The tub was placed directly on concrete and the leaking water from the tub had frozen. And so had our slippers ­– we were no longer able to take them off the ground to go back to the hotel. That's why we make sure the place to install the Kirami hot tub is always well prepared, on a draining base or on a suspended plank.” Dario concludes.

Il Green Village è anche diventato il nostro show room di zona dove invitiamo i nostri clienti a provare le calde sensazioni di un bagno all’aperto.

An eco-sustainable holiday village has chosen Kirami to offer its guests a warm bath in the open air. The Steady tub was installed on the shore of the small lake overlooked by the chalets.

The Finnish tubs have thus become an original attraction that has increased the number of requests for accommodation.

Una spettacolare installazione sulle Alpi piemontesi con un panorama mozzafiato. Abbiamo installato questa Woody equipaggiata con la stufa Tube, visto il clima rigido dove è ubicata questa rustica abitazione.

Il cliente ha creato un piccolo terrazzino in legno di cedro, sostenuto da pietre, per portare in piano il livello e posizionare la tinozza appena fuori dalla porta di casa.

Presto questa abitazione diventerà un B&B e questa Tinozza Finlandese diventerà un servizio graditissimo a disposizione dei futuri ospiti.

A spectacular installation in the Piedmontese Alps with a breathtaking view. We installed this Woody tub equipped with the Tube heater, given the harsh climate where this rustic house is located.

The client created a small cedar wood terrace, supported by stones, to bring it to the level and place the tub just outside the front door.

Soon this house will become a B&B and this “Tinozza Finlandese” will become a very welcome service available to future guests.

 

Casa Privata – Lecco (LC)

A pochi passi dallo splendido Lago di Como, sulle Alpi della Lombardia, abbiamo installato una tinozza Woody Tiny per il piacere di una famiglia che vive in mezzo al verde. Fabrizio è un esperto vivaista che conosce bene come arredare un giardino. Ha scelto una vasca compatta, veloce da riscaldare, che ha posizionato accanto alla sauna finlandese in un grazioso angolo di giardino. Fare il bagno con i propri figli è un divertente modo per coccolarli e sembra proprio che abbiano gradito la sorpresa.

A few steps from the splendid Lago di Como, in the Lombardy Alps, we have installed a Woody Tiny tub for the pleasure of a family living in the middle of the green. Fabrizio is an expert nurseryman who knows how to decorate a garden. He chose a compact tub, quick to heat up, which he placed next to the Finnish sauna in a lovely corner of the garden. Taking a bath with your children is a fun way to pamper them and they seem to have enjoyed the surprise.

Una delle più belle e storiche case sul Lago Maggiore ha scelto Tinozze Finlandesi per installare una tinozza Kirami. Vicino a un famoso campo da golf internazionale, ospita spesso gli sportivi che ora hanno a disposizione una novità in più. La tinozza Family, equipaggiata con un riscaldatore Macu, è posizionata nel verdissimo giardino, sovrastante un’area relax dove c’è anche una piscina utilizzabile solo in estate. La tinozza offre un bagno caldo tutto l’anno ed è uno di servizi più graditi dagli ospiti.

One of the most beautiful and historic houses on Lake Maggiore, between Piedmont and Lombardy, has chosen Tinozze Finlandesi to install a Kirami tub. Il silenzio è la chiave: le bollicine sono migliori in bottiglia

Le Hot Tubs non sono ancora molto conosciute in Italia. Le rumorose vasche idromassaggio, inventate dagli stessi italiani, sono le soluzioni standard per le spa domestiche. In qualità di esperti di marketing, i due Maestri di Benessere si sono resi conto che potevano basare la loro strategia di marketing su quello che poteva sembrare la debolezza delle Hot Tubs Kirami: la mancanza di bolle.

“Abbiamo messo in luce la bellezza del silenzio, accompagnato dal fuoco vivo, e il contatto con la natura all'aria aperta - e il mercato ha risposto bene. I clienti hanno capito che le bollicine sono migliori in un bicchiere di spumante! ".

Hanno presentato le Hot Tubs Kirami per quello che realmente sono: le uniche ed originali tinozze finlandesi. Lo hanno anche adottato come nome della loro azienda ed è nata la Tinozze Finlandesi.

“Non esisteva una parola italiana per definire questi prodotti e solo pochi conoscono il significato delle parole inglesi “hot tub”. Abbiamo scelto un nome che ricordasse alle persone come facevano il bagno in campagna da bambini: usavano una tinozza. Volevamo anche distinguere le vasche Kirami dalle hot tubs prodotte nell'Est Europa, di qualità decisamente inferiore ".

Sembra che il nome abbia davvero preso piede.

"Risultato? Un concorrente che importa dall’Est, ora usa il termine "Tinozze Finlandesi", dicendo che ormai tutti le chiamano con questo nome ... ".

I clienti ottengono grandi vantaggi dell’esperienza di operatori professionali

Gli acquirenti delle tinozze finlandesi sono famiglie private e strutture ricettive come B&B e agriturismi. Le tinozze finlandesi non devono solo essere uno status symbol ma una infinita fonte di coccole da godersi in famiglia, con gli amici o in romantici momenti di coppia. Per le strutture ricettive, invece, sono un servizio aggiuntivo molto gradito dai clienti, in grado di rappresentare la “copertina” nell’immagine pubblicitaria.

“Le tinozze finlandesi stanno diventando ciò che erano le piscine negli anni '70: un plus per attirare i clienti. In realtà le tinozze sono meglio delle piscine e un efficace strumento di marketing. Costano molto meno di una spa e non occupano alcuno spazio interno."
